American Pie

No, not the movie. The song! THE SONG! This song is one of my favorite songs of all time. I'm listening to it right now as I'm typing. This song has so much meanings and symbols in it that I love. I know all the words to this eight minute song and I probably listen to it about two times a day. But, when I first put this song on my I-pod, I listened to it non stop for like three days. For at least a week, all of my statuses on Facebook were lyrics from it. And it's funny. The reason I started liking this song was because I heard the Weird Al version called The Saga Begins. Funny stuff.

Bye bye Miss American Pie

Pacman

So, I bet you all know the game Pacman. You probably played it in arcade rooms or somewhere else. But, I guarantee you have never played Pacman the way my best friend and I play it. Now, when we play Pacman... we go crazy. Blood curdling shrieks, yelling of ones names, punching(rarely) and screams of joy all occur. We get really into it. We treat it like it's our own lives are at stake. We have been playing Pacman on my friend's gaming system for as long as I can remember. It is a past time for us. And I always say, you have never fully met me if you haven't watched me play Pacman. I become a different person.

Very Mysterious

Have you ever gotten a scratch or bruise and you have no dea where you got it from? Yea, it happens to me all the time. I long time ago, I woke up from a nap and there was this big scratch all across my cheek. At first I thought it was from my cat. But, then I realized that my cats don't come in my room when I sleep. And... cat scratches hurt soooo much! So i figured that I did it myself in my sleep. Last night, I did it again! I big scratch on my nose! I don;t remember doing it, but it somehow happened. It's true that you have no control over yourself when you sleep I guess.

Long Distance Friend

I have one of the greatest guy friends ever. But, unfortunately, he lives in California. He is seriously the nicest guy ever. My mom and his dad worked together and they are still friends. They came over to visit 3 years ago. We first talked about Fred, who was popular on Youtube. I never talked to him until last year when they visited again. At first, we sat at different sides of the tale at the restaurant. But, one thing I noticed was that we had the exact same scarf! It was the year of the blizzard and he needed to but a scarf. I mentioned to his dad that we had the same scarf and he called him over. We talked all night and it was great! We're now friends on Facebook and talk quite often. You don't know how much I wish that he lived here. I LOVE YOU ERIC!

Harry Nilsson

Alright, I know nobody has ever heard of this person before. He's an older musician and he has since passed away. But, his music was and still is the most beautiful and sad music I have ever listened to. He has the most amazing voice and he sometimes brings my to tears. After a bad day, I just sit in my room, blast his music, and belt out to his songs. One of the saddest songs is "Without You". It's such a sad song, but he sounds like an angel in it. Like I said, no one probably has ever heard of him before. You should go check him out though.

Cubscouts and Bowling Don't Mix

At bowling practice for Lake Central, we are pretty much not suppose to have any fun. We're suppose to focused on bowling and talk about nothing else. But tell me how I'm suppose to focus on bowling when there are a bunch of cubscouts bowling like crazy people next to us? There were about 20 little cubscout boys running down the lane and screaming as loud as they could! So, for the majority of time, the other people on the team and I were just watching them and having a great time. One particular boy started from the chairs with the little 6 pound ball and ran as fast as he could toward the lane. Sometimes, just the ball would go down the lane. But sometimes, he himself would go down the lane too. Just looking at him fall down hurt me. And, of course, when one of them got a strike, we would cheer for them. *Sigh* I rememeber when bowling used to be fun...

MEOW!

So, I have three cats. Their names are Kitty, Jake, and Tre Cat. That's in order of when we got them. We got Kitty from a friend. Her name was once Lucky(She's a black cat so it would be funny since black cats aren't lucky) We kept calling her Kitty for some reason so we changed it. We got Jake from the Humane Society. His name in there was Jamil... Yea, we changed it. We named him after Joliet Jake from the Blue's Brothers. He is probably the most friendly out of the three. We got Tre Cat from another friend. We named him after Tre Cool from the band Green Day. We call her Tre for short. She thinks she's a dog because she paws at everyone at the dinner table to open the back door for her so she can go out on the deck. The cutest things my cats do is that they sleep in show boxes. They are soooo adorable! I love my cats so much!

My Name

Just so everyone knows, my name is Caroline. It sounds like Care-o-line. You actually say the line in the name. It is NOT Carolyn. That is not my name. Guess what my biggest pet peeve is? Yea, it's when people call me Carolyn. THAT'S NOT MY NAME!  The e at the end of my name even makes the i make the 'i' sound. So if you pronounce in like Carolyn, you don't know your grammar. Some people I know that I have known for a long time still call me Carolyn. They just don't get it. Or they're just trying to get me irate. Because everyone who has ever met me has had the experience of me telling them what my name is. It's Caroline. Nothing else.

Odd Music. Great Music.

It occurred to me that some of the music I listen to doesn't seem to be listened to by anyone else. Just some of them: of Montreal, Arcade Fire, Modest Mouse, Man Man, and many others. I heard of these bands from car rides to school last year with my older sister. But, since she is off to college, the music I listen to has stayed the same. These bands just stuck out the most to me from those car rides. of Montreal is the craziest music I have ever heard, but the songs are just so easy to get stuck in your head! Although, none of their lyrics make sense to me... they are probably my second favorite band right now.
