For my demonstration speech, I did how to do magic tricks. Yes I broke the biggest rule in magic, but hey! I got a 98% on the speech! I showed how to do a magic bow trick which is too hard to explain over text and a disappearing ribbon trick. I interacted with my class a lot and apparently I made them laugh tastefully, as my teacher says it. I guess I did. I did try to make people laugh. And they did! I once got into a stare down with someone when I was "reading her mind". I just felt so comfortable in front of the class and I went with the flow. At the end of my speech, my teacher walked up to me and said" Hey, you should start your own comedy show. You crack me up!" That's what exactly I wanted to happen! I love making people laugh and I'm glad I'm able to make entire class laugh!

Sister Problems
My sister and I don't fight. It's worse than that. We barely talk to each other. The last time I remember us having an actual conversation was at a Christmas party at our house when there was no one else to talk to. I have no idea why we don't converse at all. We are actually very similar in ways. We like the same kind of music. She probably introduced me to all the music I know. We have the same sense of humor. We also have the same clothing style. We just never have nothing to talk about. I have probably talked to her boyfriend more than I have talked to her. It's not that I don't like her. I love her. Hopefully this changes when we get much older. I don't want to go the rest of my life not knowing who my sister is.

Bowling 12 games... Yep, it's Difficult
This past Saturday I bowled down in Indy for two tournaments, Pepsi and Masters and Queens. Both of these tournaments consisted of 6 games. 6 games in the afternoon and 6 at night. In Pepsi, I'm currently in 1st place. In Masters and Queens, I qualified in 13th place and the top 16 qualify for the next round. I received $100 just qualifying! my average for the entire day was 186. Not too shabby. I just have to hope for the best in Pepsi and go out again to Indy for the second part of Masters and Queens. If you think bowling is easy, you try bowling 12 games. See how easy it is.

APUSH
I'm in APUSH, Ap US History. We have this gigantic test... and it's tomorrow. There are 80 multiple choice questions and a DBQ, Data based question, and another writing portion. For the past like 2 months my life has been reviewing for this test... And, like I said, it's tomorrow. So, everyone wish me luck and, in the words of Mr. Svetanoff, may the force be with me.

Birdies Outside the Window
There is a tree right outside my computer room window. And right in the tree is a nest filled with baby birds! AAAHH! They're adorable! I sometimes look out the window and look and them.. while the momma bird is giving me death glares. I'm pretty sure if I wasn't inside, she would peck my face off. But sadly, one day my dad found one little bird on the sidewalk underneath the tree. He fell out. I almost started to cry! This blog is dedicated to that little bird. Bye bye birdie.

iMovie makes iMad
I just got done filming my King Arthur project and I have yet to show the movie in my english class. The editing process of that movie took a lot out of me and my friends who helped me. First, the fade in and fades outs are already a pain to deal with. Secondly, we tried to put credits at the end, but all the narrations were messed up! All the beginnings... of every narration were gone. So, we had to redo all of them. That took about 327305730 minutes of avoidable time. We did however finish the movie and it actually turned out rather amazing.

Drive My Car
I'm learning how to drive. I'm going to certified driving in Highland and I'm loving it. I'm actually driving rather well too. I think it's pretty easy overall. And today, I'm going to drive on the highway! AHHHH! I think I'll do all right though. I stay alert and I pay attention to all the idiots on the road with me. That's what you're supposed to do. So, don't worry, I think I'll live to see tomorrow.
Tangent
I'm not a math freak. I'm not good at math. But, I enjoy the word tangent. You know why? Whenever I put it as my name for bowling, I bowl really well! I bowled for Saturday and I put my name as Tangent. I bowled a 255. Throughout the three, I bowled one of my highest series'! So, if you want to bowl well, put your name as cosine or sine.

Yep... This happened
So, I was filming a movie I have to make for English. It's a King Arthur project. My friends and I are just minding our own business in the park, dressed like knights, when something strange happened. A little boy, around 10 or 11, comes walking up to us... in a bear costume... holding an air soft gun. Now, crazy stuff happens to me, but not like this. So he comes strolling up to the park, and just starts shooting us! We don't even know who this kid is! One of my friends gets feisty and tries to pull off the bear hood, but it doesn't really reveal the boy. Then, as easily as he came, he just walked away. Yep... that actually happened.

Bike Rides
My friend and I always go on bike rides now. Although, I would love it more if it wasn't THAT hot out. These bike rides include deep, heart felt conversations and lots of laughter. We do a summer route that is now known in our neighborhood and we are starting to go to Pheasent Hills as well. Without these bike rides, I would probably have no idea what is happening with her life at the moment. We're best friends and it's something else we can do together, besides play Pacman in the dark in my basement. I always love getting the text "Let's ride!".

Curse You Weather!
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy summer. I like it when it's warm out. 60s and 70s, I enjoy it. But, when it climbs up to 80 and above... It is too much. 80 is my limit. When it gets up there, I am just pure miserable. That's why I like fall a lot more than summer. Fall is my favorite season! You can walk around without a sweatshirt on and just jeans. But, in 80 degree weather, jeans got quite uncomfortable. (I'm more of a jean picture if you didn't figure it out yet) I don't enjoy wearing shorts. So, you guys can spend your days outside sweating your pants off, while I go to Canada for the summer... HAHA! I wish...

I'm Funny?
I'm in advanced theatre and we just did a long form improv show. I thought I was going to do terribly because I'm not that good at it. I got off the stage when it was finished and people said I was actually funny! I felt sooooo great! Some people I don't even talked to said I was! And, one person said I was just like one of the guys who performed in the other group, a person I really look up to. My self esteem boosted a lot after tonight about theatre. I can be funny on and off the stage.

Tha Day After
Yesterday I came to school thinking about just Davy Jones. Before I left my house, a Monkee song came on the radio. That got me in a sad mood. I came to school wearing a Monkee shirt, in memory of him. One person commented on it. One. I'm so upset that people now a days don't think about the old times and the people in them. Not even teachers commented on it. When I came home, I belted out Daydream Believer and other Monkee songs. I also put on my Mike Nesmith hat as well. I'm going to be wearing that for quite awhile now.

Davy Jones
Davy Jones, one of the members on The Monkees died on February 29. I was in tears. My friend told me because someone had posted it Facebook. I was at my friends house before going to a bowling tournament. She announced that he died and I didn't believe it at first. I said "I'm going to cry!" I read the post and there it was... Davy Jones dies at 66. I was bawling. I went in the bathroom and cried for about 20 minutes. I called my mom and she already knew. My whole family knew. He died in the morning. I had to bowl and everyone knew I was upset. It was just a rough day. I love you Davy Jones. I'll miss you.

Wrong Day to Bowl Badly
I went to state for bowlign a few weeks ago. I was so excited and tried to do the exact same thing that I did the week before. I qualified first at regionals and wanted to bowl great at state! Although, the state bowling went terribly. I bowled a 170 game and two 150 games. I placed 14th in state. That may sound good, but there were 18 girls bowling. So, I was at the bottom of the pack. I was incredibly upset, but I was very proud of myself to get that far. Only 18 girls out of the whole state were bowling. I just chose the wrong day to bowl badly.

Valentine's Day... Yea, Alright.
Ok, Valentines Day is a scam. Shouldn't people who love each other treat each other great every day they are together? So, why did they make a holiday celebrating the ONLY day you should do that? People seem obligated to do nice things for their significant other for this day. They should feel obligated everyday. Valentine's Day is just for the stores to sel candy, flowers, and other lovey dovey stuff. Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy getting gifts from friends on this day. It's a good day to show your love for someone. But, if you want to really wow your bestfriend, boyfriend, or girlfriend, give them flowers or candy not on Valentine's Day. Give them something on some random day, not the day you're suppose to do it.

Bowling State Finalist
I've just been going up, up, and up in my bowling self esteem now a days. I made it out as an individual at sectionals, regionals, and qualified first in semi state. There's only one more place to go, state. Although the Lake Central team didn't advance beyond semi state, I'm still extremely excited. I am also going with another teammate since she advanced as well and the whole boy's team. At semi state I bowled a 245 which really made my self esteem go up to an all time high. The greatest moment was hearing them announce my name with the high series, 609. Now I'm going to state and hopefully I'll blog something fantastic about that too.

Red and More Red
Sophmore Lauren Basting is posing for the picture in the once crowded halls of E Hall. After being told she was useed as a model for the picture because of her red hair, she laughed.
Cheese Head
Sophmores Mary Mulligan and Mike Ippolito play around during D Lunch. They have always joked around with each other ever since they became band buddies.
Cheesy Shots
Sophmores Mike Ippolito and Mary Mulligan share Cheese Itz in the cafeteria. They have sat with each other this entire year and have been friends since they joined marching band.

Stephen King
Most people read sad stories such as the Notebook and A Walk to Remember. Some other people, don't read at all. I read Stephen King books, the best books I have ever read. His books are terrifying, gruesome, and an incredible read. He is pretty much the only author I have read since the summer of my 8th grade year. The first novel I read was IT. And I loved his writing ever since. My favorites of his are Misery and Under the Dome. You probably have seen some of his movies such as The Shining. I have seen that movie and I want to throw something at the TV every time I watch it. It is NOTHING like the book at all... I hate it. There's no maze in The Shining! Anyway, if you want to read good book, grab a Stephen King book and prepare to be blown away.

As an Individual
I made it out of sectionals as an individual as well. This is a complete opposite experience from last year. I didn't even bowl for the team last year for sectionals and I was an alternate for individuals. If someone wasn't there, I was filling in for them. The coach did not believe in me at all last year and I have no idea why. No one did. She had it out for me when I got a new wrist brace without her permission. She had it out for me when I was getting coached by someone other than her. Well, I proved her wrong this year and I hope she feels awesome.....
By the way, we have a new coach from last year. She loves me.

Sectional Champs... Nobody cares
The Lake Central boys' and girls' bowling teams made it out of sectionals this part week. Not that anyone knows we have a bowling team or anything. We don't get acknowledged for anything we do or how far we get. We are a great team and we deserve something. WHEN we make it to state, something better be said about us on LC TV or the announcements. Bowling is just like any other sport, even though we're not counted as one. We are the LC bowling team and we will dominate!
